Welcome to the DAV Website
The DAV is a non-profit association which exists to promote debate. It
is the peak debating body in Victoria and runs large competitions for
adults and for schools across Victoria. It provides training and
resources for debaters, teachers and adjudicators.
Spring Debate Camp 2024
We are excited to be offering in-person Debate Camp for Year 7 and 8 students in the September holidays, held at City Cite, Level 12/474 Flinders St, Melbourne. The camp will consist of matter sessions on recurring debating themes, workshops to improve debating and public speaking skills and offer students the chance to participate in multiple debates and to receive feedback from experienced adjudicators.
Registration will open appoximately 1 month before the program
There will be one skills or matter session, and two debates per day. We are offering flexible registration. The cost to attend will be $200 per student for the 2-day program or $120 for single day registrations, inclusive of lunch.
Upon registering you will receive confirmation and an invoice within 48 hours. All payments should be finalised within a week of registration .
When: Wednesday 25 September and Thursday 26 September (9am – 4pm each day)
