Welcome to the DAV Website
The DAV is a non-profit association which exists to promote debate. It
is the peak debating body in Victoria and runs large competitions for
adults and for schools across Victoria. It provides training and
resources for debaters, teachers and adjudicators.
2024 Junior Secondary Program Fees
Fees for DAV programs are structured around a sliding scale, based on the number of teams you enter.

*Please note: team registration in the Junior Secondary Program is capped at a maximum of 4 teams per school per region. In some regions this cap will be lower in order to provide opportunity for as many schools as possible to participate. If you would like to enter more than 4 teams, please contact the office and we will confirm if this will be possible in your preferred region.
In addition to these fees, all schools are required to pay an annual membership fee to participate in DAV competitions. This is a one-off annual payment for all DAV competitions, so if your school has already participated in the Schools Competition this year, you will not be required to pay again:
