The DAV is a non-profit association which exists to promote debate. It is the peak debating body in Victoria and runs large competitions for adults and for schools across Victoria. It provides training and resources for debaters, teachers and adjudicators.

Schools Competition
(Yr 9-12 Debating)

Monash Asian Studies Debate Competition

A debating competition open to students from Years 10-12, run by the DAV in conjunction with the School of Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics at Monash University. The topics will focus on contemporary issues relevant to Asia.

The competition will consist of three preliminary rounds and a final. The preliminary rounds of the competition will run on Sunday 19th May at Monash University, Clayton Campus , with a final to be held separately.

Schools may enter up to one team in this competition (with an option to enter a second team if there is space).

Regsitration is due by 4pm, Friday 10th May. To register, complete this form.
